The structure of this stone is very unique and charming and its color is a combination of purple with white streaks and a dull appearance that has its beauty. Charoite is a purple to purple silicate mineral whose vibrant purple color, along with interesting, rotating bands with radial and parallel shapes, attracts attention.
Charoite is found in commercial quantities only in a few small reserves near the Sakha Republic in eastern Russia. It got its name from the Chara River in that geographical area. Like lapis lazuli, the Gemstones we call charoite is actually a rock.
