Petroleum Coke Prices in Palestine
Palestine theoretically includes the West Bank (a territory that sits between modern-day Israel and Jordan) and the Gaza Strip (which borders modern-day Israel and Egypt). Petroleum coke (Petcoke) is the final carbon-rich solid material obtained from the oil refining process and is a group of fuels known as coke. Citrus fruits, strawberries, and flowers are the most important exports of the Gaza Strip. In the Middle East, 950,000 tons of petroleum coke were produced that year, with Kuwait ranking first in the region. Israeli occupation in Palestinian territories, the barrier it has constructed along and within the West Bank as well as its land, air and sea blockades in the Gaza strip have placed severe limitations on the success of Palestinian economic policies. The Middle East is the largest producer of Petroleum Coke in the world
